INEC faulted on PVC distribution

A civil society group, Move on Nigeria, has warned that the rescheduled March 28, presidential election may be thrown into crisis following the poor distribution of permanent voter’s card by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in many parts of the country.

National Coordinator of the group, Mr. Clem Aguiyi in a statement in Abuja, said: “In the North East and North West for instance, INEC has not obeyed its own rules and standard, raising concerns.
“The chances of the rescheduled election being credible is further worsened by the less than average performance of the card readers deployed by INEC during its mock election exercise.”
