Kaduna PDP Chieftains Score Jonathan High On Military Offensive, Say It Will Pave Way For Election In N/E States

*Kaze gives Kudos To The Military

PEOPLES Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftains in Kaduna State have expressed their satisfaction in the way President Goodluck Jonathan has prosecuted the fight against the Boko Haram insurgency in the affected North East States, saying that the recent successes recorded by the military will secure the territory for the general elections in the areas.

Also a member representing Jos South/Jos East in the House of Representatives, Hon. Bitrus Kaze, has commended the military exploits, saying the military campaign against the Boko Haram insurgents has of recent yielded huge successes. He said this was made possible due to the new military hardware and the professionalization of the military by the President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan administration.

The Deputy Coordinator of Goodluck Jonathan/Sambo Presidential Campaign Organisation in Kaduna State, Alhaji Hussaini Mohammed Jallo, leading members of the group at a press conference yesterday, said that despite the security challenges in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States, “President Jonathan and Sambo’s administration is working tirelessly in ensuring peace and security in the country, particularly in the Northeastern part of the country where insurgency is dominant”.

According to him, “this menace is gradually being addressed by the Nigeria, Cameroun, Chadian and Niger combined forces”, to pave way for elections to be held in the troubled areas.

Jallo argued that ” it is important to note that the PDP believes in the unity and oneness of this country”, while adding that ” therefore, all well meaning Nigerians should ensure the indivisibility of this country”.

However, Kaze, in a statement in Jos, added that, “Mr. President rekindled our hope when he led a regional collaboration with his Chadian, Cameroonian and Nigerien counterparts. This led to the current military onslaught against the Boko Haram terrorists by the Multinational Task Force which has been fully endorsed by the international community.”

According to him, the President also successfully mobilized the African Union, “which has since joined in the war against the terrorism, stressing that the recent visit to the war front by President Goodluck was a high morale booster for our hitherto ill-equipped troops.”

He said:“Many Nigerian towns captured by the insurgents have already been retaken by our troops. We are very optimistic that Nigeria’s territorial integrity will be fully restored in no distant future. Our hearts are gladdened by media reports of fleeing insurgents captured dressed like women, others capsized and perished in their numbers while trying to ferry across the Lake Chad. This is not to mention the many of them that fell to the superior firepower of our gallant troops. When our troops failed, we decried their failure. Now that they are winning we have the responsibility to celebrate their gallantry. We are proud of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. They deserve the accolades of all patriotic Nigerians.”

Kaze continued: “Now that the terrorists are being overpowered, they may return to guerrilla warfare tactics. As the rains begin and farming activities commence, we must all watch and pray against terrorist incursions especially in the nights. Our people must remain ever vigilant and take every precautionary measure to safeguard the lives and property of our individual households. The recent bomb attacks including female suicide bombings on innocent Nigerians in Kano, Potiskum, Gombe and Jos among others must be totally condemned.”

He called on the citizens especially in Jos and Plateau State in general not to be carried away by the successes of the military campaigns. “Plateau remains their favourite target. I sympathize with and condole the families, friends and well wishers of all the victims of the recent bomb blasts in the Bauchi Road area of Jos. May the good Lord grant them the fortitude to bear these gruesome losses.”
